Two to three hours to get to sleep
« on: November 01, 2012, 14:22:55 pm »
I have previously posted this issue but I am still having difficulties.  My DD has o ly went straight to sleep twice in the last 10 weeks and she is 14 weeks old.  Usually it takes two to three hours to get her down for the night.  Some nights she sleeps for 40 min and then takes two hours trying to get her back on sleep or she doesn't sleep at all and it takesntwo hours to get her down.  I have tried eliminating her catnap, keeping catnap and extending A time before bed and tried keeping catnap and shortening A time before bed.  I am at a loss as I also have a 2.5 year old who I can never put to bed because it is hit and miss as to whether I can get in to see him before he falls asleep.  I feel terrible about thus.  DH cwont switch every other night because he doesn't feel confident enough to get her to sleep.  She sleeps on a nap nanny because of her acid reflux.  She sleeps in our room at night and her crib during the day.  I am starting to wonder now if it is because of the different location because I have tried everything.

I am slowly moving to a four hour EASY and now am on my first day of almost two hour A time in the morning.  Please any suggestions would be great.

Hugs. Is she medicated for the reflux, hun? Could there be some discomfort?

How is she napping during the day - can you post your day in EAS format?

Thank you as you may have solved my night issue when you replied to me in the Naps section.  I think she was OT.  It is so hard with trying to get a catnap in if I need to.  I am upping A times for both first and second A s I am hoping the catnap will not be needed.  Since her third nap is only usually 45 min to an hour.  His long would next A be?  Do all babies needed shortened A time after these naps as she rarely displays signs of being tired?  What do you think is a good number of hours for daytime sleep for a 15 week old Baby?  5.5 hours?

Another disaster night I can't imagine it is her being overtired.

First two naps were 1.5 with 1 hour and 45 min and last two were 1 hour and a 40 min catnap.  She woke up from cn at 6:30 and I gave her the final bottle at 7:15 to ensure she wasn't OT and it is 8:40 and she s still fighting to sleep
