Hi all!
My 23 month old has decided to never take naps anymore. When I try to lay her down she holds onto my neck and won't let me put her down. When I can lay her down she goes wild and screams and screams like I have never heard before!
She has always gone down for naps with no problem, right away. She is very tired so I know she needs the nap! Her typical day is up at 7:15am, nap from 1-3pm and bed at 7:45/8pm.
When she doesn't nap she will sleep extra long at night so I thought that maybe she was getting too much sleep at night. I tried cutting that back and she did take a nap the next day. But hasn't since:(
I'm really at my wits end with this. I work from home and NEED that nap time;) I just feel like this is too early to stop napping! And I hate to see her so tired and screaming. I don't think I'm dealing with OT since she has been on this Awake time for awhile and I don't think it's UT since she is showing all the signs of exhaustion.
It kind of feels like a bit of seperation anxiety (which she has never had before) so I don't know what sleep training tools to use. I of course don't want her to cry it out but also know she is at the age where she needs to learn to listen to mommy when it is nap time.
HELP!!
