Baby going to crèche in January

Hi all my baby is almost 9 months old and I'm just about to go back to work.

H s still having 4 bottles a day with 3 meals about 45 minutes thereafter. When should I start giving breakfast before the bottle? Or when should I start giving the food closer to the bottle time?

hi there.  when is baby starting at creche? do you know what the daily routine is there. both my little ones stopped having bottles very soon after starting at 8 months. they were too busy wwatching the other kids!! on the positive side their solids intake went very well!

I have been told that when they first start they will stick to the routine they are in now. I presume it will be tweaked a little though. He is going for trial days this week so will know more then x

yes, they do try to stick to your routine, but it seems to me that little ones adapt tto the daycare routine pretty quickly. which was frightening for me at first, because DS dropped to 1 lunchtime nap there at 9 months. he did 2 naps at home with me until 16 months, and seemed fine switching

sorry, dd posted before I could finish! I think the Nursery routine is so we'll ingrained that all the children do fine on their routine. but for now, I'd just do what you have been doing, and let us know what they suggest at the settling in sessions

Hi guys,

My 9 month old is starting crèche next Monday. He will be dropped off at 8 in the morning and won't be collected till 6pm.

At the moment his routine is

8 bottle
8.15 breakfast
10.30 sleep
12 bottle
12.45 lunch
2.30 sleep
4 bottle
4.45 dinner
6.30 bottle
7.30 bed.

I'm thinking I will get him up at 7.20am.

He is starting to not take his full 11/2 hr naps during the day a lot only an hr tops. He doesn't seem to go to sleep too quickly at the crèche as obviously there's a lot of excitement there.

Any ideas what type of routine to do with him this week to get him ready plus a crèche friendly routine to give to them.

Also can I please add I brought his routine 45 minutes earlier today as had a trial day at the crèche so gothim up at 7.15. He was suppose to go down at 10 but according to his progress book he didn't sleep till 11.20 for 30 minutes then had his bottle which he refused at 11.55 (25 minutes off his 45 minute earlier routine) he then went on to eat his lunch and still refused bottle afterwards.

Little stressed as have so been set on routine since day one and he has been an angel and now it's getting messed up and I have a clingy/wingy baby for the night.

Help please xxxx
