I have been feeding my son solids since he was 5 months old. Up until recently he has been a good eater. He would eat pretty much anything I gave him. But for the past 2 weeks it has been a nightmare trying to feed him. I would give him a few spoonfuls of food and all of a sudden he starts to scream. I thought he might not be hungry but since he opens his mouth for it I believe he still wants to eat. Maybe he doesn't like the food? He does this at every feeding no matter what i give him so I am out of ideas.

The thing is hes fine and happy until i feed thats when i feed him he freaks. Would that be teething?

Just an fyi mine started screaming at me @ 8 months old refused all solids he's eaten before, refused to eat finger foods. This went on for 3 weeks, we just continued to offer but not force.  We took a few days off solids, reintroduced them while we were out @ restaurant with family and he forgot he was asserting his indelendance and ate. Could it be he's just going through a phase?

I don't know for sure of course but I know (for example) my daughter for SOME of her teeth they have only hurt coming through while she's nursing, rest of the time she's fine.

Any chance of tonsilitis? My LO presented just like this for a week or more (appeared hungry - grabbing spoon etc..- but would then cry) and was otherwise fine then he lost his voice and we. Found out he had tonsilitis. For us teething (or bleeding lip for that matter!) Has never interfered with eating much.
