10 1/2 month old, how many feeds a day?
« on: April 17, 2013, 09:42:00 am »
My DD3 breastfeeds as below:

Wake up 6am BF
Solid 8am
Nap 9.30
Wake up 11.30
BF 11.30
Solid 12.30
Nap 3pm
Wake 3.45
BF 4pm
Solid 5pm

Bedtime formula bottle

I wonder if it's time to drop the afternoon feed?  Do i need to replace with a snack?

Thanks

Generally, the recs are to stick with 4 milk feeds a day until a year.  Is there a reason that you think you might need to drop a feed?

I assumed the feeds would get less as she got older and she drinks less at the afternoon feed, but i'm happy to continue feeding her!

Thanks

4 feeds at this age is what I did and was told by my LC to do.  I didn't drop to 3 until nap times consolidated a bit.
