Hi
After unfortunately getting our baby used to falling asleep in the pram I'm desperate to get her to sleep in her bed. She is 4 months exactly.
Night time is fine, she has slept in her bed almost since birth every night. But day time is terrible. I have started shush pat and she goes to sleep, but, on me. if I try to put her down she starts crying a lot and we have to start over. I try to put down when she is just nodding off.
Since the pat is on the back, and she sleeps on her back, do I then pat somewhere else?
Shall I pick up if she cries or let her cry with shush pat lying down?
Is this a case for pu/pd? I understand that is used more as a last desperate resort.
I have just extended her feed time to every 4 hours and try to follow a 4 hr EASY routine.
Do I continue trying to put her down over and over again till next feed is due? Then what? Activity? She would pass out I guess? I now give in after a while and let her sleep whole holding her so she gets some sleep...
Any advice would be great!!
Thanks
Caroline
