3-2 question for today
« on: March 27, 2013, 20:06:42 pm »
Okay, Tyler and mommy are new to EASY, so we don't really have a schedule yet. This was our EASY so far today.

(overnight) 12a wake E 4oz
S
4:30a wake E 8 oz
back asleep (S) 6:30
A 7:00a
E solids
wouldn't take a bottle since having so much at 5
S 9:45a - 10:15a ... he would not go back down even with assistance
A
E 11:30 a 5 oz would not take more
A
S 12:55 p - 2:15 p
A

I would like him to be on 4+ EASY, but we are still working out the kinks.

My question is, given those naps, should I put him down super early, like 5:30p? Or try to push him to 6 p even though he will be awake for almost 4 hours (which has been historically way too long for him...max seems to be 3.5 h)? Or should I give him a short 15 min catnap around 4p? Last night we had multiple early evening wakings due to being overtired.

Thanks,
Janie

I would do a CN.  If you can, I'd do a half hour because his naps were so short.

Thanks so much. We'll do that. Yes, he is a very poor napper. We are working on that. I think it might make the transition be a bit later than average for him.

The transition took us a while - a few days with 2 naps and then a day with a CN.  Even now (at 7 months) I still sometimes have to throw in a CN because of short naps.
