When to Expect Longer Nights?

DS is 11 weeks and still does 2-4 hour stretches at night.  Is there anything I can do to encourage longer sleep during the night or is that something that just gradually extends as LO gets older?  Seems as if everyone's LO sleeps longer at night than mine.

Are you swaddling? That always helped me. As did a pacifier.

Are you giving a dream feed? I found my dd didn't stretch in small increments, she was waking almost all night and then suddenly one day slept for a 8/9 hour stretch, i panicked when i woke that morning  ;D I think making sure baby gets enough calories in the day helps too  :)

DS is swaddled (both day and night sleep).  He will not take a Paci.  Tried all of them several times. 

When should I give the dream feed?  The only reason why I haven't started the dream feed is that he has a high palate and sucks in a lot of air when feeding.  So, every feed requires 10-15 minutes of burping and he usually wakes up.  Also, if I do a dream feed, do I feed & burp and put right back down?  Or should I also do a diaper change since that is part of the day and night time routine?

Is it beneficial to do a diaper change at every wake period during the night?  I do it because I'm thinking he may sleep longer if he's clean - but, the diaper change does wake him almost completely (if the burping has not).

You usually do the dream feed between 10-11pm assuming a normal 7-7ish day.  Yes the idea is you pick them up in their sleep, feed, burp and put right back down.  I wouldn't change diapers overnight unless they are soiled - as you say it wakes LO up too much and modern diapers are so absorbent that LOs skin shouldn't be affected.  If you're concerned on that front, you could use a layer of barrier cream on the skin.  At this early age they are not really aware if being wet or dirty so that in itself isn't likely to wake LO :)
