So she is 9mo now right? A month can make a big difference in their A time needs.
Do you think she needs an increase in her second A time now? Average A time 8-10mo is 3-4hrs so aiming for a 3hr middle A time may be unrealistic for her now. Also, maybe she needs that second nap capped a little so she can get to bed earlier at BT? What if she had that second nap from 15.45-16.30? Then would she go to bed before 7.30pm do you think?

She is 9 mo right now, yes.

So I have been ruining some experiments. She was fighting off a cold over a weekend, coughing a lot. And last night she was coughing quite a bit and I decided to BF her at 2 am to help with the cough. I normally never feed her at night. And she  slept till 7:00! No wakings in between. I don't know whether it was a fluke or not. But it got me thinking.

Today I followed your advice ( well, sort of). She went to bed for the second nap at 15:45 at the day care,  but they forgot to wake her up and she slept till 17:20 :-( I was a bit upset I must say. I also asked the day care to give her a bottle before her nap, otherwise there's just no space for it after her nap anymore. And even though she had it at 15:30 she still didn't want to eat any dinner.

I have a feeling all that waking up is due to hunger, but she just doesn't want to eat enough solids all of a sudden... I really don't know why.

She is trying to fall asleep now, and its taking a bit longer than usual, but that's not too surprising... And I'm curious to see what happens...

Is she teething? We always got solids refusal when teeth were about to cut through. Or it could be the cold perhaps. We lose taste when we have a cold and it can be difficult to eat and breathe if our noses are blocked, can't it?

So she woke at 5.20 and you are still attempting BT at 7? Or do we have a time difference? Sorry not sure where you are. That could be UT resistance you are getting. How annoying daycare didn't wake her as you asked.

Sorry for not replying earlier - we were away for a short holiday.
Just wanted to report that the switch to summer time did a trick for us and she is sleeping better. Sometimes she wakes up before 6 am and I nurse her and she drifts off right away and sleeps till 7:30. Do you think I'm creating a problem in this way? It happens maybe once a week, no more, maybe even less frequently.  Usually she is up at around 7, usually just before,  and she doesn't want to sleep then after nursing.
I also try to limit her day time sleep to 2.5 hours in total and she doesn't sleep after 4:30 pm ( day care got the message now :-) ). Does it sound OK to you?
Thanks!

Yes that sounds good. You can always wean the early morning BF if it becomes a problem so I would totally do it if it is just once or twice a week. Maybe she really is waking due to hunger anyway.
