New house, tonsillitis - wonky day
« on: April 10, 2013, 09:38:13 am »
Hi there
My LO is nearly 2. We were on a good routine wu 6:30-45 ( after intro of gro clock) nap 12:30-2 and BT 7:15.
But.....
We now have tonsillitis, have moved to a new area/ house and naps are a little messy today. Do I just let him sleep as he needs to today as he is poorly. He has been asleep for an hour this morning and would usually have a nap at 12:30 but that won't happen !!

What do I do we haven't had a morning nap for months!

Yeh if he's poorly you just have to wing it. When my 5 year old had tonsillitis he had a 2hr nap in the day and hadn't had a nap since he was 3 years  old - and was still ready for bed at 7.

That's what I would do, within reason. I'd wake him up to preserve bedtime, but bearing in mind that he'll probably want less A time than usual.

Sounds good, you can always do an early bed if he's struggling.
