Quick question on counting A times
« on: April 16, 2013, 08:55:12 am »
Just a quick question please. My Lo woke at 6 this morning but we left her chatting in her cot on and and off until 6:30

When should i have counted her A time from 6 or 6:30, i did it from 6 but she seemed not ready for a anp so i gave her a bit more time now i'm not sure when i put her down if she was UT ot OT second wind.

Thanks

There isn't a right answer to that.  Technically A time = eyes open to eyes closed so all time in crib = A time.  Some mums find if they do that though, LO will always short nap and they either need to count quiet crib time as half A time (ie 30 mins in crib = 15 mins A time) or actually count it as sleep time.  The best thing to do is be consistent, whatever you choose.

Think i will need to try either 1/2 time or counting from when we get her up as when i did it from when she woke she was no where near tired at her usual A time.
