3 yo up for hours at night???Hope they will grow out of this??

HI, my daughter is 3 and wakes at night about 5 hours or so after she goes to bed and is up for hours most of the time happy... i have read many posts on this that others are in a similar situation and i am wondering if this ever has resolved?? she has always been a waker at night but sometimes we have months where she does better and sleeps more often... she definately is not getting enough sleep but is usually happy during the day.   she dropped her nap about 6 months ago and if she naps she just falls asleep closer to 9 or 10 at night... we have been to sleep doctors and talked to the pediatrician and no one can find any physical reason for this... any thoughts?  or have you been in a similar situation that eventually improved? i am more concerned once she starts full day school and how this will affect her!

Have you tried wake to sleep if she is waking at the same point every night, like stirring her at 4 hrs in so she might sleep past the 5 hrs?
are you having to be with her or is she just awake but stays alone? Do you have a grow clock so she can see it is still nighttime when she wakes?

no i haven't tried the wake to sleep... i usually am not in with her as she is content on her own...we do have a grow clock as well, white noise, black out shades etc.  feel like i have tried it all!  but very good point of the wake to sleep i will look into that!  I will look into that!  thanks for your reply Khalam's mama!
