Fussy and a bit gassy. Breast Fed.

He eats quite frequently and stars cluster feeding every hour from 9 ish pm till about 4 am.

Dies take 1 -  2.5 hours naps but has stretches of 3-5 hours awake!!!!

Hi!  Congrats!  Generally feed on demand for the first 6weeks to get your milk supply where he needs it - but try to not feed to sleep as much as possible (have very low key activity after you nurse - a song, diaper change, touching stuffed animals, etc) then you can do a really not strict easy for a couple weeks.  An 8 week old will probably be ready for some routine - check out starting easy:

It's impossible to keep him awake when he wants to sleep :(

I was hoping to start easy earlier tis time, I put my older son on EASY when he was 5 weeks old. He slept 7 pm to 7 am!!!!

This little guy is killing me... My breasts don't get a break... I hope it all changes soon... My poor toddler is getting no time with me and makes both of us super sad:(

Are you using a pacifier at all?  Maybe you can get a break then - or a baby carrier/sling is what is saving my sister (now has two).  Try posting in the board "and then there were two" also - I only have one LO.

Do what's best for your family - it's worth a shot!

Ugh, that was so my #3 - it's like the realize they can get quality time in the middle of the night.  ::)

Day/night reversal does straighten out by 6 weeks, more or less, from everything I've read.  The idea is to try to feed him every 3 hours during the day (which I know is super hard if he wants to sleep) and keep him out in the daylight and in the middle of everything during the day.  And at night, do your best to stay low key.  I used to go to bed pretty much after my older two and leave dh to deal with the newborn for a few hours -- then when he had to go to bed to get to work the next day, I'd take over and do the best I could.  I was a definite zombie for a few weeks, but it did get better.
