Glad for you!  I might have to push vi's time because she's been having a 5am party lately

We still are getting those too...closer to 4:00am now though. It can take him up to 2 hours to really fall back to sleep but I never have to go to him, luckily!!

So strange though. I probably have some tweaking to do and hopefully it'll work itself out.

Is Violet crying or just playing at that time? What A time is she at now?

These are great posts! I have a question for all you ladies with 7 MO LO's & long A times. How long is your day?

I'm curious because we are currently up to 3 or 3.15 A, and we usually have a 12-12.5 hour day. We're just getting back onto our normal schedule from a vacation/illness, so I might have to do some adjustments to our A times so we have 2 good naps, and I'm starting to run into the following question:

If the A time gets too long and stretches the second nap to end under 3 hours from BT, should I start cutting the nap short (say no later than 4pm for a 7pm BT) or should I start pushing BT later. I feel like this is pushing the 2-1 already, but DD is still so young.

Hi goldmom.  Just wanted to say you should start a new thread for your questions (just copy and paste what you wrote here if you like) just because that way any advice you get won't be mixed up with Mandy's.  Also her original issue when starting this thread is pretty much resolved (yay!) so it might not get much traffic any more.  You'll get more eyes on it if you start your own thread  ;)

So we just arrived for a weekend vacation with my in-laws and DS is not napping well at all....
Any advice or tips? Should I just wing it for 3 days and just do 3 naps when I get a lousy one and just hope for the best??

It's not dark or quiet enough so I doubt this is going to go well...

Just go with it!  Sleep while away was always wacky with dd1 :)

DD's been on 2 naps for a while, and even if I tried she won't take a 3rd nap, but if 5 min later she is changed and put to sleep for EBT instead she will go for that. We don't either usually do too well while away, but for DD with 2 short naps, I can do an EBT and still get a decent night (sometimes). Lots happen in new environments (weather can also impact it), so just go with it and try to take it easy!

Thanks ladies!

I'm just trying to go with it as best as I can. He's getting really overstimulated here too so that's not helping either....I'm trying my best to stay calm and chill out!

Lots of deep breaths, lol.

You can always get back on track when you get home ;)

We survived the trip! DS did pretty good considering the circumstances so I was pleased. We arrived home today and he's been napping for 2 hours...I think he's catching up on missed sleep!

I may need some help tweaking parts of our EASY but ill wait a few days after we've been home and get back on track before I post our typical day. Things are changing so quickly recently so who knows where we will be with our EASY!

How are things with all of you?? Where are your As at now and how are naps going?

Good to hear your DS is catching up with his sleep after your trip!  We've had 2 x 45 minute naps today, and another one the other day so I think we need to tweak again.... Might try pd at 3 hrs 35 tomorrow and see what happens.... Feel strangely nervous about it -I've been upping A times for so long now I keep thinking we're surely going to run into an OT mess at some point!

Same here  :-\

Looks like our LO are on the same page! Mine is doing the weird 30 min and resettling thing again which makes things tricky because I can't tell if he's OT or UT...

Keep me updated on how things go this week with you!
