Help with 14 month old
« on: November 21, 2013, 22:08:49 pm »
Hi

I really need a hand with my dd3 who has not slept all night ever and wakes every 2 hours. This is due to being fed to sleep every time she wakes and also co-sleeping. So two things to change.

I thought Id start with reducing the feeds as I know she doesn't need them. So Im now on night 5 and we are still getting lots of screaming and wake ups. Tonight she went to sleep at 7:15 and was awake and screaming at 9:30. I managed to calm her and put her back in her cot but I know that in a couple of hours she will be awake again, and this time she will really really scream and throw herself around. Im aiming to feed her around 3am as that is where she got to on night 2 and 3. I find it really difficult to calm her when she screams so much and I start to wonder if Im doing the right thing. Then I end up giving in as its easier.

Im just wondering if anyone has any advice on giving up the night feeds and helping dd3 sleep for more than 2 hours.

Thanks
