Bedtime shenanigans
« on: May 14, 2014, 06:02:44 am »
Argghhh help!!
My lo has not long turned 3 and after many battles when he was tiny loves his naps. He is a nightmare to wake and often takes 30/40 mins to come around.  Recently he has been a tinker at bedtime messing around for anything up to 1 1/2 hrs wanting cuddles, wee, poo , juice or in fact anything (delaying tactics! ). So I guess I need to either push/ drp nap or push bedtime (not so keen on the later).
Our current routine is
7:15 up
1:00-2:00 nap
7:00 bath/stories
7:30 sleep (!)
Any thoughts would be gratefully received
Xx

Hi,

My DD is 34m and we had to push her nap out, so her day looks something like this:

WU: 11h after WU (usually between 6-6.15am)
Nap: 2-3pm (capped and she's a monster when she's woken)
BT: 7pm

I think think she's still a bit tired when she wakes in the morning as she a
Used to sleep 11.5 min at night and 1h30/45 in the day but we are not getting the BT nonsense anymore.

Equally it maybe you lo's on course for dropping the nap - I've seen suggested and used elsewhere for lo's of your age alternate NNDs.
