how can you tell when lo needs to go from 2 naps to 1?
« on: January 07, 2014, 21:23:43 pm »
Hi my lo is 9 months and currently has an awake time of between 2.5 to 3.5 hours.  She has a nap around 8.30 until 10 and another usually between 1-1.30 for an hour and a half with bedtime at 6.30.  When will she go down to one nap a day? Will she start refusing her second nap?

Hi, most LO don't drop totally to 1 nap until after 12 months some keep 2 naps until 16-18 months. Your LO would need to ideally be able to cope with an A of 4.5 hours. You will know as day gets too long when the 2 naps make bedtime very late and you can't fit in naps, most LO will do 1 long nap 1.5-2 hours and a smaller nap say 45 mins before totally dropping to 1.
