Very good news...sounds like he does need the slightly longer day, and 2 hr nap to now have an unbroken nights sleep you think? - we had to extend Ts day recently from 12 hrs to 12.5 because he was UT at BT and we were having shenanigans and nw ::)

More for reference than anything else:

Wed
WU 5.50
S 12-1.40
BT 6.30 - STTN until 6.30am :)

Thur
WU 6.30
S 11.50-1.35 (fell asleep in pram, couldn't keep awake any longer and slept whole nap in pram)
BT 7.50 had a cry after he finished his milk and needed more milk to settle so I don't think he slept until about 7.20
NW at 1am but settled with milk, crying out at 5.15am but seems to have settled himself.

Firstly - about the milk? I struggle to settle him at NW's without milk. He just screams and screams :( he doesn't NW all the time but when he does I usually give milk, as an easy option I guess?

Secondly - I've noticed that there's a lot of wildlife around here, we moved here in August but I never noticed it over the winter - the birds are singing away loudly right now and I think that's what has woken him now at 5.15? I've never used white noise before, he's always managed without, is it too late to introduce it?

Also, it's 5.35am now and he's still awake :( I thought he had gone back to sleep bit he's chatting! I have a feeling we will be getting up for the day now :'(

So he stayed I bed until 6.30 but cries out every 10 minutes or so :( I'm pretty sure he was awake from 5.15!

I put him down at 11.30 and I lost track of time so I'm about to go and lift him now at 2pm.

L has gymnastics 6-7 so we don't get home until 7.15 so it will be 7.30 before he gets to bed. I feel bad but there's nothing I can do I guess.

Wed looked like a perfect day. He's a bit like Tom in that when the naps a bit shorter the nights are ideal! But with 2+ hr naps the nights are shorter or unsettled ... :-\
So with an under 2 hr nap he does well on a 12 hr day or just over.
With a 2 hr one he prob needs a 12.5-13 hr day. Thurs was prob a bit OT. :-\

The milks a funny one. Personally I resettle T with milk if i can't resettle him in 10 mins or I know I'll give meds ie teeth or sick. It's never been a prop for us, he doesn't wake for milk so I do t care. But, if you want to ditch it then you will likely have a few longer NW as he may expect it when he is unsettled at a NW YK? Wi/WO or just using any other APOP through it will work, but will take time

T has white noise, it's a god send here for us. If you want to try it what about using an iPod on low with some downloaded or a fan?

Give him a Lon nap today if you know he will have a long day

Today was this:

WU: 5.15ish
S: 11.30-2 (he woke naturally just before I went in and woke very very happy :) )
BT: 7.30 no battles but very tired

I agree about the timings - it's hard! I hope he has a better night tonight. I also agree about the milk - it's not a prop, he never wakes for it but it does really help to settle him. I'm going to stick with it just now.

That looks good! I would have done the same given you had setish BT with gym. He's prob a bit OT but honestly I think OT is always easier to deal with than Ut ;)

I think on days you can do what works best I'd try a similar day to wed - so go for 12.5 hr days with a 1.5-2 hr nap. (Usually 2hr) and see if things settle. ;) what do you think?

I agree - 7am - 7.30pm with a 2hr nap will hopefully work. I just hope we can settle into routine. I hate it being so unpredictable!

Thanks so much for your help hun, I really appreciate it :)
