Ok so she's sttn the last two nights which is brilliant but she was up at 5am this morning after a 7.30pm BT! That's a very short night! I couldn't get her back to sleep. She stayed in bed until about 6.45 when DP got up with her.
What do I do tonight?! Early BT?? I put her down usual time last night as I was trying to get her to sleep later - she was up at 5.50am yesterday. I guess I pushed it out too far and she was OT hence the EW this morning?

Ok. Thanks. Think we'll keep today fairly quiet. She's gone off to forest school for a couple of hours then home for the rest of the day I think.

My ds is a bit older than your dd (4 in June) but he dropped the nap in January. I found that a short night 10.5 or less was ot for him. I've been trying to keep to 10.5-11h day or 6 pm BT depending on wu so if wu was 5.15/30 (we had alot of those in beginning when trying set BT of 7 and it just led to more ot and ewu) like it has been in recent months BT would be 6 but if wu was 6.30/7 then BT would still be 6 and this helped with minimising ot. Night sleep varied from 10.5-13h depending on whether he was ot or not. Its only this last week or so that I've been able to do 12h +days and not get ot nws or ewu. For last few days he's been waking at 5.30 cos he needed to poop and wouldn't go back to sleep. I did 6.30 BT and he sttn and woke at 6.30 but only cos group clock woke him. I don't think he sttn cos day length was long enough I think he just crashed after a week of 5.30 WUS and cos he didn't need to poop (I pushed dinner to 5.30 rather than 4.45/5 and I think that helped) .I will aim for 6.30 BT and keep fxd!
Anyway point I was trying to make is I would do earlier BT cos even at 6.00 pm its a 13h day and hopefully crash and have a cu night. Hth and doesn't confuse you more!
BTW my ds has always been lsn and never used to tack onto night...

Thanks guys. She ended up having a BT of 6.30pm last night, woke at 11, then was up at 5.30am. It's infuriating as she needs to catch up but just won't sleep in!

She won't do anymore than an 11 hour night. Last night was 7pm - 6pm with a NW at 11. I guess 11 hours is all I can hope for and it'll take a few nights to catch up?

She's has sttn the last two nights and slept 7.20 - 6.30 the first night. But last night was 7.30 - 5.40. She's having a few anxiety issues around new baby coming esp around preschool drop off and I think the stress is making her tired. But she won't sleep anymore than 11 hours. So if I put her down at 7 she'll be up at 6. Ill do an earlier BT tonight - she's at preschool 9-3 today so will be tired afterwards. I guess on our busier days I go for a slightly earlier BT and hope that she sleeps in a bit?

Look how far you have come in less than a month! Well done! As I have prob said Olly doesn't do much more than 10.5-11 hours a night. Sometimes he will have catch up nap in the car, maybe once a week. He currently seems to be pushing his BT back on his own by about 15/20 mins but on the plus side it is pushing WU back
they are pickles aren't they!

Hi. We've had WU's of 5.45 and 6 the last two mornings. I've been putting her down about 6.45pm but she won't settle until 7.30pm. But on the plus side this is the fifth night of her sttn so Im really pleased about that. I think she needs 11 hours really.

I would stick with a set bt and encourage her to stay in bed on the morning using a groclock or at least until a set time of am. I have found after several weeks ds now sleeps longer in the mornings even though I was convinced he needed less.
