How much is to much sleep?
« on: May 27, 2014, 12:53:24 pm »
My LO is almost 4months and has recently dropped 1 night time feeding. He sleeps from 8-7ish and has naps for a total of 3-4 hours. Sometimes, he clocks more. How much is too much sleep? I find myself waking him often so he doesnt miss his next feeding by more than 1 hr. Also, he has recently started turning over and sprouted his first two teeth. Would this affect sleep?

Sounds perfect to me :D. I don't think there's such a thing as too much sleep provided you don't have issues with things like NWs or EWs which can sometimes happen with too much daytime sleep.  There's a link to some averages here: Typical Amounts of Day and Night Sleep but remember some will need more and some less.

Teething and developmental milestones can affect sleep but don't always - was there anything you were particularly concerned about?
