dreded 1h15

Hi, my little one always struggles with naps If she manages to sleep longer she will only give me1h15. What can i do?
It would be great if she could make it to 1h30 for both naps and then we would be able to get rid off cat nap.

Hi there and welcome to BW,
would you like to give some more detail?  What age is she? And what does your day usually look like?  Perhaps you could give us an outline, tell us when she wakes up, and when she goes to sleep.  Just an average-ish day.

TBH, 1hr15 can be a fine length of nap depending on the child.  It is around 2 sleep cycles (roughly 40 mins each), so if she's doing that and waking happy, I wouldn't be too concerned. :)

hi, I'm new to this and got stuck in 4 EASY 4 months ago and have not been able to move on (only just discovered this forum).
My LO is almost 9 month old and I'm trying to move her to 3H A. I'm moving from 2H a so trying to do it over couple of weeks and we are now on 2H40 for first nap and still trying to work on second one. She gave me roughly the same nap yesterday but when I put her to bed it took her 25 min to fall asleep which resulted in 2H55 A and only 35 min nap. We are also trying to wake up later (5:30 at the moment) today success as in bed earlier yesterday 6:30. She still needs cat nap but not giving me more than 2h20 min in nap time so is a bit tired.

Can you set out your day like this -
WU 5.30 (ugh)
Nap time
WU time
Nap Time
bedtime

Just make it easier to figure out for people reading here.

At 9 mos average A time is somewhere between 3 and 4 hours.  Most babies are on 2 naps from about 6 mos, so yes, I'd say you need to extend her A times. Do this gradually (I sense you are).  Add 15 mins or so to her A time every three days to avoid overtiredness.   As her A time extends, her AM nap should push forward (ie later) and that will probably get rid of the EW for you.

Taking ages to fall asleep and then doing a short nap sounds like she's undertired so you're on the right track :)

OK
saturday                                            sunday                                                            today
WU 5:55                                            WU 5:30 result of being OT                             WU 5:55
S 8:45                                                S 8:15                                                              S 8:45 took 15 min to fall asleep and was crying
A 9:30 OT                                           A 9:30                                                              A 10:00
S 12:30                                              S 12:25 falling asleep took 25 min
A 13:35                                              A 13:00 OT or UT
S 16:00                                              S 16:20 struggled to fall asleep in a car
A 16:25                                              A 16:40
BT 19:00                                            BT 18:30

Im wandering what should I do next, should I try 3H or safer 2:40.
Earlier bed time definitely paid off, but as i said before she only gives me 2H20 in naps and is resisting third one and it can take up to 30 min to fall asleep.

I think you need to drop that CN completely.  I know that sounds radical! But it is messing with her ability to sleep during the rest of the day.  I would also push the first nap later, to get your WU later and generally the whole day later.  The second A needs to be longer.  Basically you're doing the 3-2 transition so have a look at this link:
All about the 3-2 transition- 5/6 months

I have put so much time into that haven't noticed that I needed to move to 2 ages ago.
I'll try 3 H second A and will gradually move first one to 3 so fingers crossed. I'll ditch CN (depending on second nap) today and go for 6pm BT.
