Little biter
« on: August 01, 2014, 08:26:55 am »
I have a question regarding getting rid of her 11 o'clock feed. She is EBF and feeds at 5, 11, 3 and 6:30 so 4h EASY more or less.
Do I have to replace it with formula and give it to her in the cup or a bottle or replace it  with a snack.  She usually eats her lunch at 12 ish.
She has bit me recently so I am a little bit scared of BF at the moment and still in shock as she drew blood.
Her day:
5WU feed
7 ish porridge plus some of mummy's breakfast
9 S
10 feed
11:30 lunch plus some small snacks around 1 sh
14 S
15:00 feed
17:00 dinner
18:30 feed

Since she is about 10.5mo and she will still be getting 3 BFs over the rest of the day I would replace it with a solid snack rather than formula. I'd probably offer something like a yogurt, piece of fruit or some cheese (and maybe a cracker) along with a drink of water. I assume you are offering water with her other solid meals between BFs?

And check out our FAQ on biting How do teeth change things? – teething and biting.
