Only you can tell if the cry is genuine or angry/ frustration hon, they are all different and demonstrate it in the own way. Ruby's angry / frustration cry sound more anygry than upset, she sometimes shouts out of frustration. It's hard to describe but there is a difference.

Re: going in, if Ruby is just raging, angry - the moment UT turns to genuine upset I'm in there. With her tbf it's never very long. If you think your LO would be receptive, you could go in whatever the cry and completely without emotion deal with it.

In terms of classic WI/WO - there's a sticky on the FAQ section of TS that might be of some help

Ok, i started and it was a disaster! She throw up... I think she is not for WI/WO anymore, or how should i say it. After 2h she throw up and i stopped.
Do you think GW would be a better way. I was thinking, to read a story and than wait with her to fall a sleep and to move the chair away from her crib every 3 days. And than eventually go out one day and let her fall a sleep. Should i turn lights off when i stop reading a story? Or when she falls a sleep? Do you think this plan would work in this situation? Or do you recommend any other idea? What to do with NW when i do GW? How do i calm her down and make her go back to sleep?
Thak you so much!

Sorry to hear things are not progressing well. How many evenings have you been implementing for?

Usually with previous IS WI/WO is what is recent needs and with some LOs it's harder to crack bra with others. However if you feel GW would be better the if give that a shot. What I would do though is make a firm decision and stick with it. Chopping and changing will add to you LOs confusion about what is happening / what she is meant to be doing. Have a look at this link below and see what you think:
