Catching up on lost sleep?
« on: September 09, 2014, 05:55:48 am »
Back again with another question :) I just want to thank everyone who has advised me so far. It is so great to be able to get informed advice! *hugs all around* I was wondering..If a baby sleeps longer during a nap due to OT, do I let her sleep to catch up on lost sleep or should I wake to preserve the next naps? The last two days have been pretty tough for her. I am unable to put her down for her afternoon nap or a catnap. As a result, big meltdown at BT and restless sleep through the night. Usually I start her day at 7 but today she woke up crying at 6, so DH fed her and put her back to sleep. It took ages to get her down but she slept for 30 mins. Then at 8 I officially started her day and put her back for a nap at 9. It is 11.30 right now. Should I wake her up?

Not sure how old she is Hun but if shes pretty little I'd let her sleep up to3 hrs and then play the day by ear. You may need to adjust the next nap and/or bt. Sometimes they do this stuff too when getting sick, teething, growing or hitting developmental milestones x
