Hello! Could do with some advice please? My 8 month twins are slowly starting to get to a 2 nap day! I hate the 3rd nap! 😛 if they wake up at 2 after a 1hr 30 nap would you put them down for a cat nap? If not what time would you put them to bed? Ours days currently look like this...

WU 6ish (earlier if they had 3rd nap day before)
Nap 9.15/30 30 mins
LTN 12.15/30 1hr 30 - 2hrs
Cat nap 4.30 10 mins
Bed 6.30

On days they don't cat nap I put to bed at 5.30 ish and they still sleep till 6 which is great.

It seems you are following a GF routine as LTN seems to be her approach. Do you cap the first nap?

Here are two approaches I think. You may try to start capping first nap even more to 20min so to make sure their second nap is 2h. If the nap is from 12:30 till 14:30 you could easily go for a long A till BT and put down at 6:30.

You could also consider not capping morning nap and making second A longer and put them down for a ?second nap later so even if they have 1:30 nap you would be able to go for a normal BT. Routine would be more like:
6:00 WUnq
Nap 1 9:30/10: 00 as long as they want
Nap 2 2pm for as long as they want
BT at 6:30

we seemed to just fall into this routine. They naturally wake up after 30 mins for mn. I like to have 12.30 as Ltn older daughter tends to fall asleep on the sofa at this time too. I've been trying to stretch them out to have a Ltn at 1pm but we are all frazzled by then! X

At what time your older one goes to sleep? If 12:30 I agree it would be great to put them down at the same time. To keep second nap as it is I would cap the morning one even more, let's say to 20min.
Or as you said you can push till 1pm. I would do it gradually, 15min every couple of days so they get used to. Usually kiddos at that age are "used" to be tired at certain moment and they show all tiredness signs and they need couple of days to get used to new routine:).
