Help with 4 S's
« on: February 12, 2015, 00:04:30 am »
I am in the process of implementing the E.A.S.Y. method in order to help my 4 month old nap longer during the day and sleep through the night.  However, after working on this for 4 days I am having trouble with the "Sitting" part after swaddling him.  He gets upset right away and therefore I have to begin the Shush/Pat immediately.  I feel as though this may be part of the problem in getting him to nap longer as I can't get him calm before trying to put him down.  Because of this I try to wind him down before going into his room by taking a little stroll around the house before swaddling him.  Any suggestions?  I am desperate to help him sleep longer during the day because otherwise he is quite nasty by the end of the day.

A stroll around the house is a great idea. We do that too, singing/humming. DD also disliked us sitting, so simply solution- we used to stand: p the fussing would stop instantly. Why don't you give it a try?
