Introducing solids
« on: December 26, 2014, 04:25:14 am »
Hi all,
Baby girl is 5 months old and loves to eat food. Right now she is only getting cereal once a day in the morning. But conflicting reviews on if she should be in cereal (which is empty calories) or move her solid to a fruit or veggie instead? She eats solids very well so that is not a concern... She could have started solids at 4 months she has that good head control and is a natural at eating. Any advice?

There are always conflicting ideas of what and when to introduce solids. If you feel comfortable with what you are doing right now then I'd say continue, if you want to introduce fruits and veggies then that's fine too. The guidance in the UK is to wait until 6 months but many LOs show eagerness for solids earlier than that.
