Short pm nap
« on: March 04, 2015, 02:25:18 am »
Hello,
I wasn't quite sure where to post this. I just really needed to let it out and I have a nap q. Dd is 8 months and I don't think I've slept for 8 months. She is a touchy/spirited baby....so extremely high needs I am drained by the end of the day. Naps have always been bad and we have only recently transitioned to 2 naps 2 weeks ago (such a rough transition with hourly wakings for 2 weeks !!) Recently we have been getting ewu I assume bc she is ot at the end if the day. Here is a sleep log of when things were going well (which was only 3-4 days of going well)

W 610
S 856-1006
S 133-237
S-605
1 nw at 5, nursed and back to sleep until 630

This was yesterday

W-515
6- out of crib
S 830-945
S 120-155 apop til 230
S- 6

Yesterday's is more like what most days look like, how do I extend the pm nap??!!
She sleeps quite early and has for some time now

Thanks in advance

On days when the pm nap ends too early/can't be extended, you could always do a CN and push BT back a bit. That will help with the OT. What do you think? Not really the answer you asked for but with a touchy/spirited, my normal thought of pushing pm A times a bit might backfire
