another 2-1 post..sorry!
« on: July 22, 2015, 15:34:22 pm »
The past 2 weeks DS has been crying at nap time. I usuallycould lay him down and he was fine. Now he will fuss. Im not sure if it's ot or ut or what. He seems to show his tired cues {yawning eye and nose rubbing and general grumpy behavior] but I'm wondering if maybe he's stillnot ready for a nap. I just checked on him and he fusses for mmaybe 1 min (sometimes its been much longer) and he seems to be asleep or very close. I think healso has some teeth pushing through since hes seems to be uncomfortable and running a low grade temp and motrin has helped. Do you think this is just still part of that weird transition to one  nap??? How long sdoes that phase last??

He's up around 630 and starts to show cues at 930. I'll try and hold him off. Today he went down at 1030 and was up a little before noon. He sounds like he quieting Down for his second nap and its 345 here. I'll generally cap this one so it doesn't go alast 430. Then BT is around 730 or 8. I know a times should be longer but that just seems to be where we are at right now. He sleeps through the night with the rare 3 am crib party.

It could be the teeth, do you medicate pre-nap and does that help?  Could also be 2-1 silliness, he may be showing his tired cues out of habit rather than being really tired.  Have you had any total refusals yet?

No , no refusals yet but we've had accidental skips since we were out and about. If he's really distracted he's pretty muchbok but we have to be away from the house for it to work.

Doing well...we are still fluctuating between one and two naps but he seems to be doing more single nap days with 630 bedtimes. He's going through a grumpy phase though bc he is still trying to walk but he wants to get up and go so bad but he can't and since we'vehad 2 run ins with ants I'm not really letting him crawl too much in our grass right now.
