Chained to the Nursery
« on: August 19, 2015, 13:50:54 pm »
Hi-This is my first time visiting this site & I need help. I have read the Baby Whisperer Solves all Your Problems and it changed my household and my life for sure! We have effectively used the PU/PD method for months with zero problem until now. My son has started a habit of crying as soon as I put him in the crib and leave the room. He mostly doesn't  even mind that he's in his crib-he stands up and plays-but if I walk out he wails. Basically I am chained in there for sometimes an hour! Who has time for that?! I tend to stand in there with my back to him and soothe him with my voice and the little guy will poke at me and laugh like it's a game...Is there anything I can do? I refuse to let him cry it out but I know I must be doing something wrong and I can't find the answer in the book. PLEASE HELP for my sanity!!

Sounds like he could be UT maybe.

What age is he?  And can you post what your day looks like?

That was my question:) could you please post your routine? I have UT is an option or maybe some OS or maybe he is going through some developmental leap and that can result in difficulty with settling.
