Never done this before, last time it was hammock to cot with an older baby. This time it's bedside crib to bedside cot (a Troll one with an up and over side).
So we have just started to get some independent naps (yay!), but when things go awry I go into the room, pick him up and stay on the bed with him for the whole nap. That, and some horrendous nights recently with illness and teething, mean we will use the cot as a proper bedside cot. At least for a while, anyway.
We have set up the cot in the main bedroom but we can't fit it and the crib next to the bed at the same time. Nor can we have one on either side of the bed. So at some point we will have to take the crib down and just go with the cot. Yikes.
First step is to let him play in there when he's well rested and in a good mood. What then? Naps? Nights?
