Hi there
My 15mo son started waking in the night a couple of weeks ago. He has/had been teething and got two teeth pretty much straight after the other.
He has been fussing with his upper gums a little (the other teeth were on the bottom) so I thought "here we go again, another tooth coming through at the top".
Although I can't see much happening there, just a little bit of a tooth somewhere around there, maybe moving around.
Anyway he has been waking at random times ever since he started teething again. Sometimes 5 am, 4 am, last night it was 11.30 pm, sometimes 2 am. So I don't feel like its habit waking.
The one thing with this kid is, even though I am not really that into doing it because for my eldest child and mostly for this one I have never been keen on "feed to sleep" - he need a bottle before he goes back to sleep. I can go in there, give pain relief, leave him for 10 minutes or so but he won't go back to sleep until he's had that bottle. (He's a large baby and is a very hungry kid during the day).
I really want to stop this before it becomes a habit. Although in previous teething times he has had a bottle and then when teething is over he just goes back to STTN.
Any ideas on what I should/could do? I'll hopefully be sure he isn't waking for teeth but in the meantime unless we give a bottle he can sometimes be awake for an hour or so.
BTW we don't really give bottles anymore during the day - he has some milk along with his breakfast and dinner and that's it.
Many thanks in advance. EASY is below for reference.
