Moving time zones for holiday
« on: September 24, 2017, 07:42:37 am »
My LO is nearly 5 months and we are about to go on holiday from the UK to the west cost of the US, a time difference backwards of 8 hours. I've read the advice on this forum about changing time zones with EASY but I'm still not sure what to try to do to help my LO transition as easy a possible. She is currently on 4 hour EASY, with 2 naps and a CN and sleeps through from 7:30pm to 6:30am, with a DF at 11.

Our flight is in the afternoon and we land at 1am (5pm local time). Would it work to just add in another 4 hour cycle? Ie let her have a full nap rather than a CN (I usually wake her from her third nap) and then E and A time as usual before her next nap? I'm then thinking let her have a longer nap as I will then need to wake her to feed as the plane starts to land. Is this a stupid idea? Anyone got any tips on how best to handle the transition?

Thanks

Sorry I have no experience of changing time zones for holidays. I'll give your post a bump and maybe someone else will see it.
Enjoy your holiday!
