Can't wake up baby / put her on EASY
« on: July 03, 2019, 12:04:07 pm »
Hi! I have read the baby whisper we book and am trying to put my daughter (4 weeks) on easy without success:(((
She always falls asleep during every feed (except at night!!!)
And now e.g. she is sleeping since more than 4 hours (10am -2 pm) and i can't wake her up...changed diapers twice, undressed her, went outside, put her upright talked to her...) not sure how to change the schedule. When i feed her she falls asleep and when she is supposed to sleep (after "activity") she is completely awake...i usually feed her on a 2.5/3 hours schedule. Sometimes more/on demand especially in the late afternoon/evening..
Can anyone help with some tips??
Thanks...💛
update: I am getting really worried today, as she is sleeping since the morning (around 10 hours now) without waking up properly. just shortly and for 3-5 minutes feeds... It might be the heat, although its been hot the past 2 weeks.

Could be she is going through a growth spurt, there is one around 4 weeks, they can sleep more and feed more.
Also some babies do reverse cycle and sleep more in the day, so try and get her outside as much as possible, even if it is before a feed. While long term feed,  activity, sleep is more ideal, it’s not going to do any damage to not do it in the early months.

Just keep trying to wake her after 3 max (esp if it is hot) hours and even give her a sponge bath if she is sleepy and even feed outside in the shade.

Hot weather can make them sleep longer too
