My son is six weeks old today and I am trying out the cluster feed for the first time tonight. We have one problem that seems to persist....he goes down for a nap about 4 (sometimes doesn't go to sleep until 4:30 or 5), wakes up at 6 or 7. At this point we feed him give him his bath and try HARD to keep him awake. He wants to go right back to sleep after his bottle. The book suggests to feed at 6, then again at 8 and then do the dream feed at 10:30 or 11:00. I am assuming that if Luke doesn't wake until 7, feed him, then we give him his bath at 8:00, feed again at 9:00 and do the dream feed at 11:00. Is this correct? Also, how much can I expect him to eat at 8 and then again at the dream feed? He normally takes five ounces every 4 hours or so. Do I give him a four ounce bottle at 8 and just let him eat as much as he wants, or keep him awake for a full feeding and then just give approx two ounces at the dream feed?
Help!
