How long should my 4 1/2 month old EBF son be able to go at night? I have heard anything from 4 hours to 12 hours...... I know every baby is different, but I am just wondering what I should expect or be happy with at this point!

With my first ds 5 -6 hours was a great night at 4.5mo - he took about 45mins to feed (6 feeds/24hours) . With ds#2 the norm has been about 7-10 hours (feeds for 5 mins 5/24 hours.
Both are/were very big boys (top 1% weight) & so different it is unbelievable.
The thing is to work out if he is actually hungry or feeding from habit at this age. I found at 5mo I would try to drop a night feed with ds#1 & by 6mo (1 week of solids) he started going 9-11 hours/ night.
Realistically I would think you should be able to get at least a 5-6 hour spell from him.
How frequent are his day feeds & what are his naps like... that can influence how long he will sleep at night.
