Blankie

I have had a love affair with my blankie for almost 30 years, and it has gotten me thru the tough times, even as an adult I must admit.   I would like my DD to form an attachment to something, if not a blankie then something for comfort and security.  I cut a thermal receiving blanket in half a couple months ago, and have been giving it to her for all sleeps.  But she doesn't seem "in Love" with it, or anything for that matter.  How do I get her to love this lovie?  Or is it just up to fate and her preference?

I think she will take a month or more longer to form an attachment. I think my ds#1 was about 9mo before he became 'attached' to his "cloth"... which is a cut up pieces of lingerie
