3mo. old vomiting and diareha but only at night?

been to the doctor . . . tests being done, but strange only at night.  not sure if becasue of feeding 5oz. every 3 -4 hours, too much and by night too full?.  changed to lactose free formula but not helping.  any htoughts would be great!
