Hello everyone :D
my DS is 11 WO and i give him a DF at 11pm and he usually wakes up hungry at 4-5ish am :shock: , i allways change his diaper at this hour because his last diaper change was after his bath at 7:30 pm, i don't talk to him and keep the ligth really low, but will he get used to this routine, or should i just not change his diaper at this time?

We always change dd before feedings, day or night.  The lights are low at night.  She does not have trouble going back to sleep if i do it.  Dh still does not get the idea of don't overstim the baby. :roll:

Between 11pm and 7am we only change diapers if there is poop.  DD never had a problem with this and DS doesn't mind it either.

Tonight i won't change his diaper and see how it goes. (Let's hope he's not soaked in the morning :lol: )

We always changed poopy diapers during overnight feedings, but never wet ones.

Yellow is mellow; brown gets changed.  We use the Diaper Double for extra absorbancy and they have worked great for us.

Hi everyone.
yesterday I did not change my DS diaper in the HOLE nigth and in the morning he was perfect, no disturbances at all (he's diaper was SOAKED though :lol: ), (and he did wake to feed at 5 am  :roll: ). thank you all for the advice :D

If my lo wakes up around that time, I feel the diaper to see if it's pretty full.  If it is, I just go ahead and change it.  Better than waking up to a wet baby in wet jammies.  He tries to play but I'm all business and he never has trouble going back to sleep afterwards.

Jenn, my dh also has trouble understanding that nighttime is not playtime.  If ds wakes up in the middle of the night (he's teething and has a cold poor thing!) dh tries to calm him by bouncing or taking him into another room that's lit.  *ugh* Maybe one of these days he'll get it.
