Possible Swaddle Solution?
« on: January 05, 2006, 04:11:19 am »
Had a strange thought that I wanted to ask the group.  We've been using the "homemade" miracle blanket - a double swaddle using 2 receiving blankets.  One tucks under DD, wraps around her arms and the tails get tucked back underneath her.  But when she arches her back and tugs her arms she can loosen the wrap and get her arms free.  What if I put some velcro on the ends so it's not her body weight keeping them tucked, but the velcro.  I haven't put too much thought into this, but couldn't initially find anything unsafe about this - at least until DD starts to roll.

Possible Swaddle Solution?

I don't think it will hurt anything, we used a special swaddle blanket that had velcro... I think it was called the Kiddopotomous SwaddleMe blanket. My little one got out of it most of the time so we too resorted to the homemade miracle blanket when he outgrew the real one.

Good luck!
