Then what do you do on a 4 hour schedule? If DD only naps 45 mins then when she wakes and wants to eat it's only been 3 hours, not 4. Then I'm stuck in a 3 hour schedule. Help!!

Ok, I'm sure we can help. First, how old is your dd? Second, can you give me a what a typical day looks like?

Yikes! I just saw this reply
DD is 6 mos...schedule is:
6:30 or 7 wake and eat
7:15-8:30 or 9:00 (depending on wake time) A
9:00-9:40 or 10:00 sleep
10:00 eat and we go on a 3-4 hr schedule from there depending on the nap. We also cluster feed in the evening and dream feed at 10:30 or so. She sleeps through the night. She also goes down for naps no prob...just doesn't stay down. We tried 10 days of PU/PD and shh/pt after waking and it did nothing....
Thanks again

Same problem here - our daughter is almost 5 months old. She has never taken naps for more then 30 minutes.

Hello...
A quick couple of answers...if she is only sleeping 45 minutes but is actually hungry at 3 hrs, then I would feed her. Otherwise, it is perfectly ok to feed before a nap as long as she is put down awake. When they take short naps...you tweak EASY to work for you. Feed before nap like previously mentioned or take 2 naps in between feeds. This might put 4+ hours (I wouldn't let it go longer than 5) but that's ok too.
As far as the pu/pd goes...it took 3 weeks with my 4 mos old son. It was exhausting, but he's an AWESOME sleeper now. So worth it!!
