Should I poke holes in the bottle nipple?
« on: May 01, 2006, 14:35:05 pm »
Hi there- Just got 5 mo old DS to take a bottle (simply a matter of finding the right end). Anyway, he feeds on the breast for 3 mins a side but a 4 oz bottle takes an hour at least. I have the "fast flow" nipple on the bottle, too! SOmetimes I squeeze the liner of the bottle so the formula sprays into his mouth and he doesn't mind. Shoudl I try poking more holes? is there a reason why they don;t make "super fast flow" nipples?
Thanks!

Have a go with a Y cut teat - they are faster!

I have had to put a fine needle prick into some of my 'fast flow' teats as well.
