How should an 8 week old be awake during activity time?

If he wakes at 7, I diaper, feed and he goes down at 8 or just when I see his sleepy cues?

I just go with the sleepy cues at his age.  My DD could only stay awake for about 45mins-1hr at 8 weeks.

i used to get DS to sleep at that age just with the first or second yawn, wich was around 45min to an hr more or less

My 5 week old goes about an hour...sometimes 1 hour and 15 mins.
