Have you given egg yolk yet? I would make sure there are no egg allergies first. Are you making the custard?

Seeing as your baby is only 6 months old, I would say no.
Egg whites should not be given until after 1 year, since they are very allergenic.
Most sources recommend waiting 8 months before introducing egg yolks.
