Bottle Feeds Only By Mom
« on: April 16, 2006, 19:02:32 pm »
My 4-month old son, Mattie, has recently started to refusing to take the bottle from his dad--both during the day and the dream feed at night. He's on a 4-hour EASY schedule and will take the bottle from me without any fuss. I usually breastfeed during the daytime, but his dad would give the bottle at night.

What is going on? How can Mattie continue to be fed by his dad?  ???

Hi mattiesmom

Welcome to the boards  :)

Firstly has Mattie had any 'bad' experiences with taking a bottle, babies can associate negative/positive experiences with taking bottles, breast, etc....

What feed during the day is he refusing? Are you on a 3 or 4 hour EASY?  He is actually hungry when you feed him? One sign that he is ready for a 4hr (if your are not already on it) is that he would not be hungry at the 3 hour mark.
