help lo thinks bed time is nap time
« on: May 12, 2006, 14:49:15 pm »
help my lo used to go to sleep 7 or 8 at latest and now thinks this is just a nother cat nap he wakes after about 45 Min's and is up  i tried to stay outside room  listen and go in soon as he stirs to catch him right away but hes up he only stays up for an hr and is no prob to put  back to sleep he gives me the sleepy signs and is happy to go to bed  but what the world is going on how do i fix this one or will it just go back to normal. it started when dad had to work late couple of nites so never saw lo and when lo heard dad home would wake and see him then go back to bed.  im ok with it and lo is not any worse at nite or day but should i fix it before it becomes a prob.

he is almost 7 months and he wakes 7 or 7;30
nap 9 930 for 1 to 1.5 hrs
activity time is about 2.5 hrs each time
nap 1 1;30
cat nap 4:30 or 5
then bed 7 or 8 depending on last nap

tonite i am going to do what i do at nap time i will try going in 30 mins after i put him to sleep resettle him if needed see if that works

it might also be that he's getting too old for the catnap.  might want to start phasing it out.  it may mean a slightly earlier bedtime until he gets used to it...

i was able to go in and resettle him at the 30 min mark but he was up at 10pm then 2:30 and again at 5:30  i am lessening the nursing time at nite so i have it down to the point when the let down happens so as soon as i take him off it is spraying all over the place what do i do about that. i am also doing the removal so some times it takes a couple before i can get him away from the nipple without crying and ready to go off to sleep again.
