He is almost 18 months. Is it possible to not wean him completely, just at night?. He can fall asleep in his own bed without nursing, but wakes up many times a night asking for the breast. Has anyone had experience with this?

Look at that link, the info on toddlers is at the bottom of the page:

I think that with toddlers it is somehow easier because you can talk to them and explain certain things. The older they are the more verbal they are and you can reason with them. I would say, talk to him during the day about not nursing during the night, tell him that you will snuggle or pat him instead. Repeat this a couple of times a day and don't expect mirracles the first night although you might be surprized. I know that this method works with some toddlers really well.

Good luck!
