the last week or so my almost 11minth od will get hystericl as soon as u put her down for her nap. she just sits or stands up.ive tried leaving her to "cry it out" but that resulted in 50mins of pure hysteria with no signs of letting up so i just brought her downstairs. i knwo she needs to sleep she just wont go down for it. ive managed to get her to have her morning one by giving her her morning bottle than as that relaxes her but i dont know how i can get her to sleep in the pm. i know the baby whisperer says u should just repetdly lay them back down but that isnt easy when u dont have dropsides on the cot AND ur pregnant.. infact im not even sure its very safe when ur pregnant as ive already strained soemthing lower dow n this week.
i just dont know what to do.

Big hugs to you - I know it must be extra hard while pregnant as well!

Please don't leave your baby to cry it out - it will likely only make things worse. Can you post your routine for us and we'll see what we can do to help? She may also be having some separation anxiety. And is she teething? Has she learned any new skills lately?

is your lo maybe not tired enough to go to sleep - maybe adjusting A times would solve the problem here?! def don't leave your lo to cio as that will just break the bonds of trust and leave you with a bigger problem than you already have on your hands...

so what time exactly are you putting your lo down to nap? is she falling asleep while eating? if so, i think that is an association that you will want to break. depending on what time you are putting her to sleep you may need to extend the A time so she will be tired - no amt of sh/pat or pu/pd will get a lo who is not tired to fall asleep kwim?!

Totally agree with Tawnya. At 11 months, IMO it's way to early to put your LO down at 9:30 if she woke at 7. I'd aim for a catnap starting between 10 and 10:30 and let her sleep one hour tops and then aim for a second nap of 1-1.5 hours starting about 3.5 hours after end of first nap.
