Will not nap for long
« on: July 07, 2006, 19:14:38 pm »
Hi, my DD is 6 weeks old.

Lately she has been waking up 10 minutes or quickly after I put her down for a nap.  I can't seem to settle her and after a few times I'm so tired I feed her and she falls asleep on the breast.    She may be overtired and just can't sleep well.  How to teach her to sleep better? Do I need a better sleep routine?  What can I do?  The 4S doesn't seem to work.

Is it becoming a sleep and a feeding issue?!  I don't want her to have the sleep association of feeding and then sleeping.

Also during the night you're not suppose to do the Activity from EASY.  It's just Eat and then Sleep however how do they know the difference?  I mean why would it be any different during the day to a baby?

Thank you for any suggestions and input.  I need the help!

I have been on EASY pretty much from 3-4 weeks.  I have done the 4 s's and put her down to sleep as suggested already.  I do it all before I get the tired cues.

Yes she falls asleep on the breast before naps.

thanks for your help, gotta go she's stirring since she doesn't nap long!
