am i creating a snacker?
« on: July 11, 2006, 15:01:37 pm »
I have been trying to get into EASY with my  6 week DD.

For her S, sleep she's been having short daytime naps.  I of course have been trying everything to calm and soothe and trying to get her back to sleep.  After I don't know at least 3 times and hours after I know I'm making a mistake of feeding her when she's only crying because she's overtired and wants to sleep.

I'm so tired that I end up feeding, the quick fix solution? Am I just creating a snacker?

Thanks for any suggestions!

How often are you feeding?   Have you tried a pacifier to help soothe her to sleep instead of offering your breast?

This link may help as well.

It is very normal for babies this age to still need to eat every 2 hours and at 6 weeks you may be in growth spurt which will be even more feedings.  Do you know for sure that it is overtiredness, or hunger?
